A character I've been working with - Graft (♀, Irish Setter). Diagnosed with a monumentally rare form of neural cancer, she has gained super-intelligence from it - and the ability to control alien body parts she sews onto herself, bty the nerves growing together. (Spoiler
Having studied mystic yogi secrets, she can operate on herself and feel no pain. Director of the famed "Graft Labs," continental leader in wacky body modifications.

Here, she finds herself with her typical eagle wings ripped off their seams - in midflight. Thank god she came prepared with a spare set of pigeon pinions, for an emergency landfall.
