Deviation Actions
I've been devoting time to three projects, and they really preclude me from posting a lot of art on here.
First, I want to compile a pitch file for 'Cunning Little Vixen.' I'm working on a lot of the art and text and shit, but it'll take a fuckload of time to compile and colour everything. But when I do, rest assured it'll be my featured deviation…
Second, I want to help :iconColonel_Strawberry: realize her vision of 'Anchor Dog' – I'm a hopeless fanboy for the idea, and plan to surprise her with some concepts for 'Anchor Dog' for the characters and scenes and shit. (A lot of it is up in the air right now.)
And third, for a 20-hour Drawing and Painting assignment, I plan to bite the bullet and make a synchronized film. Keeping things simple. In Conte, Chalk and Graphite stick, I will set to Foster's 'Eulogy on the Dog' a short lifespan of the tragic fate of Blondi, Adolf Hitler's german shepherd. (I love the concept…and it's scary as hell, driving home how little control or knowledge a pet can have. And the irony of those last lines about how 'the faithful dog aspires to no more than to wait by [her] master's grave,' contrasted with the image of Blondi being force-fed cyanide.)
Also just realized … my mother's name is Lies Ann, my sister's name is Anneliese, my Elfquest soul name (which is as good as any to use on the internet) is Lsan (I was just messing about with syllables), and the handle I use posing as a girl on Omegle for cybersex is 'Lise-Anne.' I think as a family, our names are in a rut.
Also, I'm rethinking calling myself 'Liam Feld.' Sounds too incongruously Jewish for my tall Dutch bearing, and it doesn't flow off the tongue like I thought it would.
While playing with short name letters, I got FI-. Then realized, my father's nom de plume is using his mother's maiden name (Finn) as a middle name… Finn sounds good as any, and plays up the family resemblance.
Liam Finn. Sounds Irish enough!
Or Fin, if I want to get pretentious. ^^ The idea sound good to you guys?

Aiming to come back, slowly but surely
I'm trying to revive this account. I've let it lie fallow for about a year, and it's sorta annoying me.
It's the longest place I've been posting my art, so I figure I should keep up the streak.
(Moving and scrapping some of my more embarrassing art, though, is an issue...)

American Songs - an overview.
I compiled this for a friend of mine ( ~Birvan (https://www.deviantart.com/birvan)) trying to understand American mindset... I owed her for several Portuguese songs. You think this is a good overview of American songs?
(I should have ordered these better.)
Mindsets do dictate our values.
The more I look at our american myths, the more I realize how much hyperbole we have. You all have Viriathus, William Tell, that sort of thing... "ordinary" people who rose with courage to an oppressor.
We didn't have an oppressor that couldn't be killed with smallpox; what we had was a land too big to tame, and we thought big.
Size seems to be a common feature of our legends... we
Life Updates - New Orleans
*Two weeks ago or so, I went to New Orleans with a Church group, to help rebuild houses after Katrina.
Everybody asks "So when'll we finish rebuilding it?" We won't. A great deal of the population is just fucking gone, and the houses are too demolished to rebuild, and unscrupulous contractors made off with the insurance of most residents. It's not going to ever go 'back to normal.' It's only like half rebuilt after 8 years.
The food was amazing. Jambalaya and Catfish and Gumbo at Mulate's, Beignets and Cafe au Lait at Cafe du Mond, Po'Boys from the Parkway Bakery, locally-caught crawdads buttered in shell... amazing. The mission food (red
